l & l* mean path length of photons in the dispersion (in mm)
The backscattered (BS) and transmitted (T) light fluxes measured by the optical sensors change with the mean path length of photons in the dispersion: l (for transmission) and l* (for backscattering).
These physical characterization parameters are directly related to particle diameter (d) and volume fraction (F)
